got two finals done; currently working on 3d again. almost done with my storyboards and now i am only waiting on one person's voice clip. i'm still so flipped out over 3d hw; i sure as hell hope i get better at this because if i ever have to do this as a job, it might end horribly.

here i am crying about 3d hw again. our final is quickly approaching and my professor is telling me that there are still things that are wrong with my assignment. i don't want to fail, but also i don't know what to do anymore @ this point. i have yet to do any of my other finals; i started working on them, but i want them done as fast as i can because i need to work on this and my storyboard stuff. still waiting on people's voice clips for my assingment. hope they send them soon.

been a few days. i've been drowning in hw and i just found out yesterday that i needed to have all of my storyboards roughed out. now i need to do that on top of cleaning them up. the pain is real. also, good and bad news; i got my first vaccine but that probably means my arm will be sore tomorrow so it will be hard to type for my classes. i hope i can power through it, otherwise, i'll have to delay my work for those classes. update @ 11 at night : i told my friend that i might be a furry and he's cool with that. very happy good moment; also got the hang of the thing bugging me in the 3d animating program about 10-20 minutes after crying about it hahahahahaha

really not looking forward to getting shit on by my 3d animation professor tmmrw, but i literally cannot comprehend how to animate with this shit. i am so bad at it. i seriously don't know what to tell you, professor.

i worked on assignments and stumbled across this video essay guy on youtube named jacob geller. he talks about video games and weaves some really enlightening and deep stuff into his videos. i admit, i teared up at his video on the last guardian. i absolutely love that game and it makes me happy to hear it has some fans because, in my opinion, i believe it's one of team ico's most underappreciated titles. i think i'll need to revisit the game one of these days. also, i'm just gonna write this down because it's funny, but basically i got into a discussion about furries with my friend and we joked about how furries would cause everyone to die or some stupid thing like that. oh the irony.

i had a dream that featured my childhood friend. i've been thinking about them every once and awhile today because of it and it's so annoying because i really have no right to. they obviously want to have nothing to do with me and can you blame them? we were friends up until high school and then they never talked to me again. i must have been too weird for them by then. it hurts a lot because i always feel like they'll be the same way they were back when we ran around the neighborhood together. obviously, they aren't.

today i watched izzyzzz's video on the warrior cats fandom and once again, i felt nostalgic. pretty crazy how the homestuck video came out only yesterday and another internet history video came out today. anyways, izzyzzz featured and mentioned clips from sss warriors in the video. i absolutely loved that series when i was little and it broke my heart when the art began to shift after yuji's department from the project. i think he really breathed life into the show, what with the stellar animation and designs. he and one other person made the first two episodes of the show together without the help of other artists. the newer team members obviously did a lot for it, too, and i was always excited for a new video, but i could tell that there was something missing. i hope people come to understand the people who started the project. i think they are criminally underrated artists; fans of the original two episodes tend to not dig deep enough into what went into making those masterpieces. it sucks that izzy didn't fully address that, but hey, her goal was to summarize just a sliver of the warrior fandom's history and she accomplished that. one last thing that stood out to me in the video was the portion about the warrior cats fan games. izzy mentioned the roblox warrior cats game and the memories came rushing back. mandaka's forest territory was the best place for warriors nerds to create and play their own edgy mary-sue characters. i was no exception. i distinctly recall making my model look like scourge and invading windclan's territory. my friend, who knew nothing about warrior cats, joined and managed to enter the game as his roblox avatar. this ticked off the other players who had joined the game as their own cats. we ran around the map together and that was that. simpler times, man.

listened to sarah z's video essay on homestuck. that was such a wild part of the internet, one i don't know if i miss. i never took part in any of it, but i remember that my roblox friend back in the day loved homestuck and cosplayed as the characters at cons. i miss her and the many homestuck references she made that i never understood. sarah touched on the subject of the end of flash and god, did it make me sad. i knew that flash's lifespan was up, but it didn't really hit me until awhile after the fact. we've lost so many games and animations to time because of it. neopets will probably never be able to recover all the flash-based games that were its bread and butter. even writing about it is making me sad again, so i'll let this be the last sentence about today.

gonna write this dream down before i forget it: there were three raccoons in my parents' house and eventually i managed to throw them out by their snouts. while i was throwing out one of them, the backdoor was locked but not in the right way so one of them nearly got in, but i managed to lock it the right way right in time. there were a bunch of people working on the downstairs portion and talking amongst themselves. i went upstairs to my sister's room and half of her wall had fallen away and threatened to fall away completely when i stepped onto it. i was talking to my sister and then i eventually went downstairs where the people were still working. i happened to glance out the backdoor window and there was a silver fox looking up at me and beside him there was a raccoon, who had crawled up a gap in the wall, and was now sticking his nose out of the hole. the fox would look back at the raccoon and then look back up at me and i could tell he wanted me to do something, but i didn't. after that, i woke up. also, I DID IT, I DID IT; I ADDED A FAVICON, HOLY CRAP!!!!!

took down my entry from yesterday because it was just kind of stupid. anyways, trying to figure out how to add a favicon to the website.
i'm still a toddler when it comes to coding (if you couldn't already tell by the layout of this site) so this may take an indeterminate amount of time haha

i completed an essay today and finished the first season of lupin iii! it was a fun ride and a nice introduction to the series. some of the animation was limited and you could tell that the artists were on a budget, but they pulled off a lot with what little they had. plus, this animated rendition had the likes of hayao miyazaki co-directing on it! i'm sure that's not news to anyone. anywho, i love this series & its characters and season ii is shaping up to be just as amusing as its predecessor. looking forward 2 more ^^

today i worked on this site and did some 3d animation for class. i'm not too happy with the animation because the arms are wonky and I expect my teacher to say something about it. oh well. that aside, i hope i get better at 3d animation. i never really respected how much time and effort it required until i actually had to do it for class. if someone were to ask me whether 2d is better than 3d animation or vice-verse, i'd say 2d because i'm biased to that art form; but, that doesn't excuse the fact that either take plenty of skill to master.
